Exploring Artificial Intelligence in tactical human resource management: A Systematic Literature Review
Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) as a result of digitization in HRM. AI technologies are increasingly used in tactical HR functions, including hiring, employee performance evaluation and satisfaction, compensation and benefits analysis, best-practice assessment, disciplinary management, and employee training and development. This study examines publications and the current literature on the use of AI in HRM to understand this evolution better. The study identifies which tactical HRIS (T-HRIS) components are represented in the literature and examines how each is portrayed through a systematic literature review. The study identifies research gaps to direct future research agendas and highlights the areas of tactical HRM/HRIS that receive the most scholarly attention.
