Abstract

The objective of the research paper is divided into two parts primary and secondary objectives. The primary objective is to find out what factors affect an investor’s decision on investment and the pattern of investment. The secondary objective is to analyse the perceptual variation of investment behaviour. The study consists of 204 investors from Indian resident investors. The data has been analysed using percentages, bar charts and pie charts for analysing the perceptual variation of investors in terms of their sector, gender and income. The findings of the study indicated that majority of investors are satisfied with their investment decision but they don’t have a financial advisor and their source of advisors is family and friends. It was observed that the research on behavioural finance across the world has increased in effectiveness during the time period 2011-2021.
